What is Flashcards+?

Flashcards+ is an app that allows users to rehearse information as if they were real flashcards. The app allows for the user to create different decks of cards. In each deck the student must type in the information on the card. When going through the deck the user has the option to go threw in order, shuffle, or swap a card. There is also an audio component allowing the user to verbally record the information as well. When the user feels that they have learned the information they are able to “check” it and can choose to look threw all their note cards, the learned ones, or one’s to be learned. Flashcards+ also provides a sharing capability and also allows the user to search and retrieve decks of flashcards from Course Hero and Quizlet.

How can I use Flashcards+ in my classroom?
Flashcards could be a great resource for students to use when studying for a test and could allow them to rehearse information through a medium that they are use to using or prefer. I think this app could work well with a variety of ages. Especially with the capability of sharing the information, it could provide a great way for students to know exactly what is expected on a test, a teacher could use it to provide extra practice, or to reinforce the material taught in class. With the audio capability, it has the opportunity to be a very powerful tool. In primary grades this could be a tool to reinforce simple ideas such as math, reading, or science concepts.
